Mugger Crocodile
found all over India in fresh water bodies and river systems. There are endangered. Zoo was the pioneer in taking up training of personal for rearing and release of Crocodiles. A training institue was attached to the Zoo in which about 100 inservice officers were trained. Extremly successful program funded by FAO.
